Corinthian Carouthers always had a passion for the health and beauty industry, she once modeled for Avant'e modeling agency and has been featured in several commercials.
Ms. Carouthers obtained a Cosmetology Unlimited Instructor’s license, which allows her to teach and train students in every facet of the beauty industry.
In Oct. 1999, Corinthian founded Creative Hair School of Cosmetology. The school currently offers programs in Cosmetology, Esthetician, Manicuring, and Natural Hair and has graduated hundreds of students from the various programs.
Corinthian has two children, Quintin and Corinthian II, who are also co-owners. Corinthian II oversees compliance and Quintin oversees financial aid, with their savvy ideas, and creative minds the school has experienced tremendous growth.
Ms. Carouthers enjoys speaking engagements and has shared the stage with prominent women such as Kiko Davis, the only Black female bank owner of First Independence Bank.
Ms. Carouthers has received a number of awards and honored as the top 25 Women in Business Courage Magazine.
Corinthian is now showing women how to give back to themselves through self-love from the inside out with her five-day Health and Beauty Boot-Camp.
She loves the beauty industry and her Philosophy is “BEAUTY WILL NEVER GO OUT OF BUSINESS.”
Corinthian Carouthers II did not always have a passion for the beauty industry. Growing up Corinthian had a speech impediment that caused her to be very reserved, quiet and shy. As she got older, she played several different sports to help with her social experience. After graduating high school, Corinthian was offered a four-year track scholarship to Tennessee State, but turned it down because of her shyness and uncertainty.
Corinthian then pursued cosmetology because her parents were owners of Creative Hair School. Corinthian quickly realized how powerful the beauty industry was and as she began to learn about the industry and different techniques her confidence grew. As she learned more about the industry and the art and science that accompanied it, she fell in love. Within a year of graduating cosmetology school and obtaining her cosmetology license, she immediately received her license as in instructor and later her license in Natural Hair Cultivation.
Today Corinthian is Co-Owner of Creative Hair School of Cosmetology and has been teaching beauty and cosmetology for 18 years. She has developed curriculums both in cosmetology and natural hair education. She is the author of The Beauty School Journey & The Beauty School Journey Journal, the creator of Natural Hair Education Podcast and NaturalHairEdu.com where her passion is to guide, teach and coach beauty schools and professional stylists on their path towards mastering and increasing their income in Natural Hair Care and Braiding.
Quintin Carouthers is co-owner, and, C.E.O. at Creative Hair School and works directly with staff and students to ensure a high quality educational experience.
As a former collegiate athlete, Quintin believes that you play how you practice and encourages students to show up how they want life to show up for them.
He studied art, poetry and dance performance, appearing in various theatrical plays, print ads and commercials. While working in the corporate world, Quintin volunteered in his free time working with young children to them to develop a more active lifestyle and has volunteered at juvenile facilities in the Detroit area to help stimulate and cultivate their minds.
Quintin uses his background in the arts, athletics and his former corporate experience to bring a diverse skillset to Creative Hair School.
Quintin is a certified fitness professional in various training modalities, a certified conflict mediator, creator of the Creative Hair School Creed, producer of the "I Embrace This Journey” student video series, and holds a bachelor's degree in organizational leadership supervision from Indiana Purdue University Fort Wayne.
